The scheme for linking ration and Aadhaar cards would enable the beneficiaries of Public Distribution System (PDS) to get the cards online from the government’s web portal without hassles. The e-ration card facility now working for beneficiary visit portal of this department i.e. http://nfs.delhi.gov.in and enter ration card number and other basic information and get a password on cellphone. After entry of this password, the e-ration card will be generated which can be stored in the electronic form and used to take ration supplies. It can also be printed by the beneficiary from anywhere. Earlier Delhi Food Supplies (FS) & Consumer Affairs Minister “Asim Ahmed Khan” stated on issues related to pendency and disposal of ration card applications also for food security information by inspectors and food and supply officers now available on the department's web portal nfs.delhi.gov.in under “Citizens Corner” sub head. Till date department has 70 offices in city where applications grant of food security are accepted.
